I grew up in the mid-west, at the intersection of two food-loving cultures โ€” Italian and Vietnamese โ€” which is a long way of saying I learned early that the best conversations happen around a table. I studied biochemistry at Northern Illinois University, and while my path has wandered since, that way of thinking never left me.

Outside the daily grind, I'm usually building something; Off-hours side projects are where I do my best thinking: small systems and tools that scratch an itch or solve a problem. And when I'm not heads-down on one of those, I'm probably planning my next trip โ€” travel is how I reset, and I'll take a new city and an unfamiliar menu over almost anything.

Most weeks you'll find me at the local kava bar - the watering hole where community comes together to share a drink. If I sound like company you'd keep, then let me know.
